VBS 'stuff'

The dollhouse for VBS is finished.

Just added a few starter pieces

Table ready for sharing tea with a friend.

Whoever wins it can finish furnishing it the way she wants.

Here are some of the decorations at church for VBS this week. The theme is Seaquest--searching for God's treasure.

This is actually a fishing game. The kids "fish" through a slot and get a number. That number tells what prize they get from a selection of prizes.

This big one didn't get away!

A whole net-ful of fish

All the windows in the auditorium look like this:

Remember all those fish in the net? They (all 19 of 'em) were blown up by Yours Truly--proving that I have healthy lungs!

Dollhouse for VBS

Started working on the dollhouse for VBS this year. The directions always give me a chuckle. See the "Don't Panic"? That's pretty much the first direction in dollhouse directions.

All the pieces need to be punched out.

How do you like the size of these nails and hinges. They try my patience.

But how would you open doors without them?

It's coming along. I did this same kit 2 years ago and really thought it was cute. It was done in pink, gray and white then. This one is yellow with green and maybe some blue. Might end up with some white also, and the roof will probably be gray.
Still need to paint the roof and do the chimney, window boxes and trims before starting the interior.

So Little

Standing recently at the bedside of a friend who was dying, we were expressing our appreciation for all the things he had done.

His response--"So little."

That really struck me as I got to thinking about how I will be feeling at the end of my life. I don't want to get to the end and feel that I had done
'so little' for the Lord. The time to do is now.
